Your silent meeting and interview co-pilot
Never freeze on a question again. Sidecue is your meeting and interview co‒pilot providing AI-powered answer cues, delivered in real time right inside Chrome.
Real-time AI cues for every interview question.
Works with every browser-based meeting
Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and any other platform that runs in a Chrome tab. If it plays audio in the browser, Sidecue works alongside it.
Key features
Real-time transcription, AI-generated cues, and a knowledge base that makes every answer personal — all running quietly alongside your call.
Real-time answer cues
Sidecue listens to the conversation, detects when a question is asked, and streams a personalized, ready-to-speak answer into your sidebar within seconds. No typing, no searching — just glance and talk.
Response styles
Dial your tone from casual to executive with a single slider. Sidecue adjusts vocabulary, structure, and formality to match the conversation — from a relaxed startup screen to a boardroom presentation.
Knowledge uploads
Paste text or upload files (.txt, .md, .docx, .rtf) with your resume, job description, project notes, product specs, or anything you want Sidecue to reference.
Every answer is grounded in your material — not generic AI filler. The more specific your context, the more personalized and accurate your cues become. Sidecue pulls real project names, metrics, and details from what you provide, so your answers sound like you actually said them.
Strict context mode
You can lock Sidecue to only use facts from your Knowledge tab. No creative fills, no invented metrics, no hallucinated project names — just your real information, recalled when you need it.
Multi-language support
Speech recognition and cue generation in 20 languages. Sidecue responds in the language being spoken — even if your uploaded context is in a different language.
Live transcript
Full conversation transcript displayed in the sidebar with speaker labels, real-time updates, and automatic line merging. Resizable, minimizable, and always in sync.
Transparent floating overlay
Pin a translucent cue display directly over your meeting tab. Drag it anywhere, resize it, and adjust opacity — so you can read answers while maintaining eye contact with the camera.
Silence threshold for question detection
Configurable silence threshold determines when a question is "finished" before generating a cue. Increase it for speakers who pause mid-thought. Decrease it for rapid back-and-forth.
Adjustable response length
Control how much detail each cue contains. Brief mode gives you 2–3 sentences for rapid-fire Q&A. Detailed mode delivers full STAR stories with metrics and context.
Who uses Sidecue
Your silent advantage in every conversation that counts. Sidecue works for anyone who needs the right words at the right moment — whether you're interviewing for a new role or presenting to the board.
Job seekers
You know your experience inside and out, but blanking on a metric or fumbling a behavioral question under pressure can cost you the offer. Sidecue keeps your stories, numbers, and talking points one glance away.
Sales professionals
Upload your pricing sheets, competitive intel, and product specs. When a prospect pushes back on price or asks how you compare to the competition, the answer is already on your screen.
Managers & executives
Load your quarterly data, project briefs, and OKR progress. When someone asks about pipeline, headcount, or timelines, you answer from real numbers — not memory.
Students & academics
Upload your thesis, research data, and key citations. When the committee probes on methodology or asks you to defend a finding, Sidecue recalls the specifics you spent months preparing.
Support & success agents
Load your knowledge base, product docs, and account history. When a customer asks about a feature, a bug, or their billing — Sidecue pulls the accurate answer from your own resources so you never have to put anyone on hold.
Non-native speakers
You think clearly in one language but speak professionally in another. Sidecue bridges that gap — listening in the conversation's language and surfacing articulate, natural phrasing in real time.
Content creators
Use Sidecue as an intelligent teleprompter. Upload your script outline or episode notes and get flowing, on-brand talking points in the transparent overlay — without staring at a rigid script.

FAQ
Here are some of the frequently asked questions. Still need help? Email support@sidecue.app and we'll get back to you within 24 hours (usually much faster).
How does Sidecue work?
Sidecue captures audio from your meeting tab and your microphone as two separate channels.
The tab audio (interviewer) is transcribed in real time using Deepgram speech-to-text. When Sidecue detects a question, it sends the transcript to Google Gemini to generate a suggested answer — personalized with your resume, job description, or notes if you've added them to the Knowledge tab. The answer appears in a side panel or floating overlay within seconds.
Which meeting platforms are supported?
Sidecue works with any meeting that runs in a Chrome tab. This includes Google Meet, Zoom (web client), Microsoft Teams (web), Webex, GoTo Meeting, BlueJeans, RingCentral, Jitsi Meet, Whereby, Slack Huddles, Discord, and many more. It also works with interview platforms like HireVue, Karat, CoderPad, HackerRank, and CodeSignal. If your meeting runs in Chrome, Sidecue can capture it.
Can the interviewer see that I'm using Sidecue?
No. Sidecue runs entirely in a side panel or floating overlay on your screen. It doesn't join the meeting as a participant, doesn't inject anything visible into the video call, and doesn't trigger any "bot joined" notifications. Screen sharing will show the overlay if it's visible on the shared screen — so if you plan to share your screen, use the side panel instead, or close the overlay before sharing.
Is my audio stored or recorded?
No. Audio is streamed directly to Deepgram for transcription in real time and is never saved to our servers. The transcript lives only in your browser session and is cleared when you stop the session. AI-generated cues are produced through secure, authenticated edge functions and are not logged or stored server-side.
What languages are supported?
Sidecue supports 20 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, Turkish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, and Finnish.
Set your language in the Settings tab before starting a session — it should match the language spoken in your meeting for the best transcription accuracy.
What's included in the free plan?
The free tier gives you 30 minutes of session time per month — enough for a few practice runs or a short interview. Session time is counted while audio capture is active. Your monthly allowance resets automatically. If you need more, paid plans are available at sidecue.app/pricing.
Does Sidecue work with the Zoom or Teams desktop app?
No — Sidecue captures audio from Chrome tabs, so your meeting needs to run in the browser. For Zoom, join via the web client at app.zoom.us instead of the desktop app. For Microsoft Teams, open your meeting at teams.microsoft.com in Chrome. Google Meet already runs in Chrome by default. Most platforms offer a "Join from browser" option that works with Sidecue.
Can the other person see that I'm using Sidecue?
No. Sidecue runs entirely on your side — it's a Chrome extension that reads your tab audio and displays a side panel or overlay only on your screen. The other person sees nothing unusual in the meeting. Sidecue doesn't modify the call, inject anything into the video stream, or change how you appear on camera. To them, it looks like any other browser tab.
